& the Inspiration

Khadijah Fair is a mother, creative, and community strategist whose greatest inspiration comes from raising her two sons, one a curious, compassionate storyteller and the other a bright-eyed new arrival to the world. Oh Khalil began as a love letter to her oldest son, Khalil, capturing the questions, challenges, and wonder of childhood through books and adventures that center joy, imagination, and representation. As a mother, Khadijah believes in nurturing not just children, but the ecosystems that surround them—schools, neighborhoods, caregivers, and entire communities.

With a career rooted in maternal health, family engagement, and equity-centered strategy, Khadijah now blends her passion for storytelling with her work as a consultant for mission-driven organizations. She helps nonprofits, educators, and public institutions build programs, messages, and systems that are people-centered and powerful. Whether writing a children’s book, designing a play space, or coaching a grassroots team through an RFP, Khadijah brings the same heart and purpose to every space she enters: amplifying voices, uplifting families, and shaping brighter futures, one story at a time.
